Bible Reading Family
I can’t begin to express what a blessing it has been to be reading through the entire Bible as a family. Each evening we sit down together and read through the Bible. We completed Genesis and now we are well into Exodus. We just read about the Ten Commandments last night. I am truly in awe how God is working through His Word this week.
In the morning, the kids and I are still studying Joshua. We do this before our school time and it has been wonderful. Well, wouldn’t you know that the things we have studied in Genesis and Exodus are directly tying into our Joshua study? In fact, one day this week the very verses we were reading in both morning and evening cross referenced each other! I could not have planned this better.
But, God could.
And He does.
I am grateful that God is in charge of every intricate detail of our life, and that when we submit to Him in obedience He shows us that He is in control of each detail. I had this nudging that our family should read through the entire Bible together, and I can see His hand on each reading. I am so thankful.
I posted this on Instagram this week—
No matter how difficult the day or previous day, this will always give me hope. The remnants of family Bible reading this morning.
