Week #10 Reading Through the Entire Bible

We are still working through Numbers, yet I am so pleased that we have made this a habit that has stuck. Even through the holiday week, we haven’t strayed from our Bible time together as a family. I look forward to it every night after dinner, so much.
We have been using commentary to help us as we read through, and I am so glad. There are so many things in there that I wouldn’t pick up on otherwise. Again, in our reading last night in chapter 29, there was quite a repetition, but we are reminded again that God has a purpose for every word, so we don’t skip it.
It excites me to know that by the time we are finished reading, I will have read {just about} every word of the Bible aloud to my children. I believe that is a gift for them and for me.
We are nearing the end of Numbers and heading into to Deuteronomy within this next week. Praise the Lord for the work that He is doing.
