What We Have Been Up To In Our Bible-Based Homeschool
We have taken a long break these past few weeks, because we moved! It was an intense time, a stressful time, but a time of growth nonetheless. And now that we are on the other side of it, a very blessed time.
Formal schooling stopped for a bit, but there were never lack of life lessons. Mortgages, home repairs, interest rates, attorney issues, truck packing, rentals, and the list goes on and on. We also learned lessons of friendship- how those we love came to serve us when we needed it most. Yes, the books were closed, but the lessons were endless.
We have finally begun opening books again and trying to find a new normal. Our new home provides lots of outdoor exploring space and that is a treat. We look forward to all the learning to take place here.

We have finished with our Acts study. I had thought that we would be in Acts longer, but we have read through it twice and learned quite a bit. I felt for the month of December we would study Jesus’ birth, while doing Advent devotionals. Then in January we will start back up with a study on Romans, which should surely take us through the end of the year.
I am grateful to God for all He taught us through Acts, and look forward to our next study. I am grateful too, for our life lessons that I know will prepare my children for life even more than a textbook.
What have you been up to in your school these days? I’d love to hear!
