Homeschooling at the Grocery Store.

I remember several years ago, I was the grocery store for our weekly shopping. It was in the middle of the afternoon, and the local school was there on a class trip. Each child had a “pretend list” with a  “pretend budget” and they had to find the items. When I ran into one of the moms I knew, she said to me, “Oh, are you doing this project for a homeschool field trip too?” I replied, “Nope. We’re just shopping. Real life lessons.” 😉

I chuckled inside, because we didn’t have to take a pretend shopping visit to learn, my children were learning about budgets, lists, and shopping just from living life with me everyday. I <3 homeschooling.

So, when I was saw these printables, I thought they were great. Teaching real life lessons. It’s what it’s all about.
